SAPAIC – MOTEURS BERNARD

Sapaic Moteurs BERNARD draws on a long industrial history of automotive manufacturing, starting with the army in 1914, followed by BERNARD engines and compressors.
Moteurs BERNARD is developing a new gaseous-fuel (rather than liquid-fuel) engine, using the latest tools for modeling complex combustion and thermodynamic phenomena, and for the scientific calculation of fluid flows (CFD). The project has been under development for 4 years, and will culminate in a finalized demonstrator within 2-3 years.
This 42L V12 engine is designed to electrify the propulsion systems of river boats and barges. Its development is based on the use of new fuels such as bioCH4 and (green) hydrogen.

Sapaic Moteurs BERNARD has a wealth of experience in motors, which it has been manufacturing within the eponymous family group for over a hundred years. Today, it relies on its accumulated in-house design, calculation and manufacturing skills at its Quincieux plant, which includes machine tools and robots adapted to this type of production.
