YLTEC

Founded in 1986 and based in Joigny (Yonne, France), YLTEC is a precision sheet metal and fabrication SME working exclusively with stainless steel and aluminium, in a carbon-steel-free workshop. The company manufactures parts to customer drawings, from one-offs to medium-sized batches, and delivers finished assemblies ready to fit. The group employs around sixty people across two production sites: Joigny (3,000 sq m) and a wholly owned subsidiary in Enfidha, Tunisia (2,300 sq m), dedicated to recurring series. YLTEC serves the following markets: naval and leisure marine, process industries — with a particular focus on containment solutions — and defence.

YLTEC works as a stainless steel and aluminium fabrication subcontractor for shipyards and equipment manufacturers. The company produces parts and assemblies to customer drawings: deck hardware and deck fittings, guardrails and handrails, doors, sills and door frames, interior fit-out parts, and welded assemblies.

Capabilities and know-how: tube and section bending, cutting, folding, machining, TIG welding of stainless steel and aluminium, jig assembly, polishing and brushing, pickling and passivation, and stainless steel and aluminium painting in an in-house booth and oven.

The workshop is equipped with overhead cranes and lifting equipment, as well as pickling and electropolishing baths, for the production of large parts.

An in-house design and methods department handles the interpretation of customer 2D drawings or 3D models, industrialisation, prototype manufacturing and part family validation. YLTEC supports its customers from prototype through to series production, with two production facilities allowing costs to be matched to the level of recurrence of each part.
