WIND SHIP ASSOCIATION

Wind Ship is a French association created in 2019 to accelerate the ecological transition of maritime through the development and deployment of wind propulsion for ships.
Wind Ship federates and represents in 2026 more than 70 players actively involved in the development of wind propulsion: equipment manufacturers, naval architects, design offices, shipyards, shipowners.

Wind Ship acts to structure and develop the wine industry in France and beyond. Its actions consist of:

• promote the sector’s know-how,
• collaborate with public and private institutions and organizations,
• disseminate reliable information,
• develop fruitful links and collective projects.

Wind Ship participates in projects and studies aimed at removing technical, economic, regulatory or financial obstacles to the deployment of wind propulsion. It represents the sector before national and international bodies, and contributes to the development of standards and regulations in the sector.
Wind Ship and its members are present at numerous professional and general public events related to the maritime sector, to raise awareness of wind propulsion solutions and their concrete contribution to the maritime transition and the sector’s decarbonization efforts.
