Founded in 1905, SNEF started out as a shipboard electrician in the Port of Marseille, then expanded to the Ports and Arsenals of France. Faithful to its approach of continuous progress, GROUPE SNEF turned to industry to become a recognized player in electrical engineering, instrumentation and control. In the 1980s, the company diversified into other industrial sectors, before conquering the telecommunications and service sector markets. Since then, its network of branches has expanded in France and abroad. GROUPE SNEF has local subsidiaries in Eastern Europe, Latin America and Africa. With the acquisition of the EKIUM Group, GROUPE SNEF has extended its business model to include design and engineering. The creation of SNEF Lab marks the SNEF Group’s commitment to new technologies, which support the development of its historic businesses.
