INTUITIVE POINTING DEVICE (IPD)

The Intuitive Pointing Device (IPD) is a next-generation portable naval emergency target designator designed to drastically shorten the defense chain in close-in and high-threat environments. Leveraging human threat perception, it delivers instant and precise 3D pre-designation of air, surface, and land targets directly to Remote Weapon Systems or Combat Management System, day or night. As a reflex device, it offers to the operator three capabilities of aiming for designation and identification: an optical red-dot sight, an uncooled infrared camera, and a low-light day camera with up to ×10 zoom and recording capability. Its unmatched agility enables rapid target acquisition, identification, and queuing in saturation attack scenarios, including drones and asymmetric threats.

Combat-proven, the IPD provides protection for warships belonging to around ten navies around the world, including the French Navy, the Royal Navy, the Spanish Navy, the Italian Navy, the Royal Norwegian Navy, the Royal Saudi Navy, the Royal Malaysian Navy, the Royal Moroccan Navy, the Egyptian Navy, and the UAE Navy.

VESSEL MONITORING & ALERT SYSTEM (VMAS)

Developed by STS, VMAS is an advanced maritime surveillance system designed to secure coastal areas and sensitive offshore installations. It detects and reports abnormal behavior such as piracy, terrorism, ship drifting, or illegal fishing in real time by analyzing data from multiple sensors: AIS, satellite, and radar.

Its intuitive web interface provides a comprehensive real-time maritime image of the area, accurate tracking of cooperative and non-cooperative vessels, and enables complete fleet management, security vessel navigation, and playback of past events. VMAS offers customizable alerts and rules tailored to your needs, with secure local or remote access via a private network or the Internet. Modular and scalable, it can be customized to provide a flexible and optimized solution for each operational context.

Successfully deployed for over 10 years for Total Energies and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, VMAS has proven its reliability, ease of use, and effectiveness in enhancing the safety and performance of maritime operations.

REMOTELY OPERATED SHIPS - LEVIATHAN CLASS

The LEVIATHAN system is a custom-built ship teleoperation solution developed by SeaOwl, designed to enable remote piloting from an immersive shore-based control center. Using advanced remote navigation and satellite connectivity technologies, it virtually recreates the ship’s bridge, providing real-time access to critical ship data (radar, AIS, VHF, visual and audio feeds), thereby allowing the captain to retain decision-making authority.

Designed for a variety of missions (logistics, offshore support, inspection, maintenance, port operations), LEVIATHAN enhances safety by eliminating human exposure to hazardous areas, optimizes operations, and reduces costs as well as the environmental footprint.

SeaOwl has brought this innovation to fruition through a design agreement with the Emirati group ADNOC L&S for the development of two 60-meter remotely operated vessels dedicated to logistics missions.

The system then reached a key milestone with the issuance of an Agreement in Principle (AIP) by Bureau Veritas, a world first for fully teleoperated hybrid offshore vessels.

TRAINING FOR ASYMMETRIC COUNTERMEASURE (TRACUS)

TRACUS is an innovative solution dedicated to training naval forces to deal with asymmetric and high-intensity maritime threats. Designed as a realistic training target, this expendable autonomous unmanned surface vehicle (USV) allows navies, coast guards, and maritime agencies to conduct “live-fire” operational exercises based on realistic, repeatable, and fully controlled scenarios.

The system is based on fleets of 5 to 20 autonomous USV capable of replicating a wide range of attack tactics: direct approaches, coordinated swarm attacks, speed and heading variations, stealthy or aggressive behaviors. The scenarios are fully configurable according to attack angles, distances, environmental conditions, and threat levels. SeaOwl also offers the design of customized scenarios, enhanced by optical and thermal decoy systems, mannequins, etc. All data is recorded for a comprehensive and actionable debriefing.

As a proven solution, TRACUS has been validated by the French Navy during the WildFire 2024 and 2025 exercises with NATO, and awarded the GICAN prize for naval innovation in 2025.

SEAOWL VERSATILE ALL-IN-ONE SEMAPHORE (SEAVAS)

SeaVAS is a mobile maritime semaphore designed to ensure surveillance, security, and management of maritime areas. Developed by SeaOwl as a turnkey solution, this containerized platform brings together all the necessary equipment for the operation of a modern semaphore within an autonomous, robust, and transportable infrastructure.

Installed in a standard 10- or 20-foot container, SeaVAS can be rapidly deployed in isolated coastal areas that are difficult or impossible to build on, or to meet temporary maritime surveillance needs. The solution integrates coastal surveillance radars, an AIS system, VHF communication capabilities, secure servers and IT infrastructure, as well as the advanced VMAS maritime surveillance and alert system. All of the data collected and merged provides a comprehensive, reliable, and actionable real-time maritime picture, facilitating decision-making and coordination of operations.

SeaVAS addresses the challenges of traffic monitoring, risk prevention, combating illegal activities, protecting sensitive areas, and providing assistance at sea.

NEMEZIS (SEAOWL UNMANNED SURFACE VEHICLE)

The NEMEZIS range is a drone-based solution designed to enable maritime platforms to operate autonomously without requiring major structural modifications. Built with a dual-mode manned/unmanned architecture, the solution combines manned and autonomous modes in a single vessel, allowing for the execution of various missions with a single boat, thereby reducing maintenance, storage, and logistics costs.

Compliant with COLREGs standards and equipped with a high-definition day/night camera and a non-lethal deterrence tower (laser and loudspeaker), the USVs in the NEMEZIS range provide patrol, detection and identification, surveillance, escort, and protection for ships and infrastructure. Their missions also include extended stationary patrols for passive detection, interdiction, and search and rescue operations.

Thanks to their communication links, NEMEZIS USVs ensure optimal control and monitoring (beyond the horizon), providing comprehensive, flexible, and high-performance solutions for maritime security.

VMAS

VMAS (Vessel Monitoring & Alert System) is a solution developed by SEAOWL Technology Solution to protect maritime assets, whether offshore oil and gas platforms, protected maritime zones, coastal areas or offshore wind farms. VMAS helps prevent piracy, terrorism, drifting vessels, illegal fishing and much more. In short, all kinds of abnormal maritime behavior. Our solution operates using sensors such as radar, AIS and optronics, to which it is connected in order to provide the most accurate global view of the situation in real time.
It can also be connected to autonomous vehicles (aerial or surface – InSPEAR) to provide a first line of defense.’
