The French PIRIOU Group, which has developed strongly internationally, specializes in the construction, repair and engineering of high value-added naval vessels. Thanks to its engineering expertise, combined with its locations in Europe, Africa and Asia, PIRIOU provides global, customized solutions, from design and construction through to maintenance in operational conditions.
Over the past 60 years, PIRIOU has delivered more than 600 vessels and offers public and private, civil and military shipowners a wide range of vessels (fishing, offshore, towing, passenger vessels, A.E.M, special vessels). PIRIOU is also committed to the de-carbonization of maritime transport, with electric propulsion, fuel cells and hybrid ships.

Design and naval engineering at the service of the user:
The engineering department is made up of design offices and a purchasing and logistics department responsible for technical assistance and all other support functions.

The ASTROLABE is a 72 m long ice-breaking polar logistics and patrol vessel, classed ICE BREAKER 5. A multi-purpose vessel, it was custom-designed for its various supply missions in Antarctica during the southern summer, and for sovereignty missions in the French Southern Territories. The vessel can accommodate up to 60 people and carry 1,200 tons of cargo. Its high degree of autonomy in terms of fuel and provisions enables it to carry out missions lasting up to 35 days and 12 nodes.
The BHO2M is a state-of-the-art scientific vessel equipped with systems adapted to International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) survey standards. This 72-meter vessel is capable of long hydrographic and oceanographic operations at sea. It is equipped with a gondola housing the acoustic bases of the multibeam echo sounders. It stands out for its low radiated noise performance in the water, the integration of the latest scientific equipment, its endurance and seaworthiness with high performance for long-duration offshore missions. Its high degree of modularity means it can be used for a wide range of specific missions. It can also meet the operational needs of authorities involved in maritime surveillance, humanitarian assistance, deployment of special forces or divers, sea rescue and environmental protection.

PIRIOU NAVAL SERVICES (PNS) is a ship repair yard with the capacity to manage MCO contracts (management, technical shutdowns, availability, etc.), as well as its own production capacity. Backed by this dual capability, PNS’s aim, beyond traditional ship repair missions, is to control maintenance times and costs for fleets under MCO contracts via preventive, curative and predictive maintenance actions.

‘Each of the PIRIOU NAVAL SERVICES sites has its own mechanical, boiler and pipe workshops, etc., enabling it to carry out all maintenance work, and has its own or recurring dry docking facilities, as defined below:
