NepTech is a consultancy specializing in hydrodynamics and naval innovation, based in Aix-en-Provence. NepTech designs a new mode of zero-emission, high-performance and intelligent naval transport.
NepTech’s hydrogen-powered catamarans are designed for private or public passenger transport operators, tourism professionals or freight companies.

The NepTech project has won numerous awards, including the CES 2022 Innovation Awards and the “Mobilités Jeux Olympiques et Paralympiques Paris 2024” call for innovations in the New Mobilities & Active Mobilities category.
The aim of NepTech’s technological innovations is to reduce a ship’s energy consumption, thereby offsetting the disadvantages of hydrogen. The technologies developed by NepTech and its partners can reduce a ship’s energy consumption by up to 35%. The innovations are designed to improve efficiency, reduce environmental impact and guarantee a long service life. The design of the vessels built around the propulsion system, together with the implementation of a breakthrough patent-protected technology for air lubrication of the vessel’s hulls, enable unrivalled performance in terms of environmental impact, speed, autonomy and profitability. NepTech vessels operate at high speeds (up to 25 knots) without recharging for two full days, and can carry up to 170 passengers or 20 tonnes of cargo.
The NepShuttle is a maritime passenger transport vessel. The marine shuttle can carry up to 170 passengers. It complements the local mobility offer on a daily basis and provides a responsible and attractive transport solution. From regular shuttle services to sightseeing excursions, the NepShuttle meets a wide range of needs.
The NepFerry is a vessel for transporting passengers by sea, river or lake over short distances. The ferry-type maritime shuttle can carry up to 40 passengers and 1 passenger with reduced mobility. It complements the local mobility offer on a daily basis and provides a fast, regular transport solution.
