CENTRIFUGAL / AXIAL FANS

Howden Solyvent-Ventec offers a wide range of centrifugal, axial and centraxial fans to meet the requirements of the marine and defense sectors. Our designs are based on aerodynamic geometries developed for specific fan functions. The products we manufacture for defense are robust, low-noise products that use the most advanced materials such as aluminum and special steels to cope with high stresses. Our products are designed to be both high-performance and compact, while consuming as little energy as possible. Using finite-element calculations, Howden Solyvent-Ventec offers the most reliable and cost-effective solutions to resist torpedo impact, and above all, are very discreet. With over 100 years’ experience in air handling and our application engineering skills, we have developed a range of tailor-made fans to meet the needs of the defense industry.

Fuel gas supply systems and Hydrogen Solution

Chart’s onboard LNG fuel gas supply systems include all elements of natural gas storage and delivery to ship engines:
Vacuum insulated tanks
Coldbox incorporating evaporator module, plumbing and instrumentation
Glycol water circuit
Vacuum insulated pipe for bunkering and vapor return lines
Gas delivery lines
Safety system with alarms

Chart has supplied LNG refueling systems for a variety of vessels, including ships operating on China’s inland waterways and high seas to the world’s fastest and cleanest high-speed ferry.

Scope of full service including delivery and commissioning in accordance with applicable codes (DNV, LRS, BV, ABS, USCG).

Hydrogen has been identified as a potential fuel for marine propulsion, and Chart is already working with multiple stakeholders to solve the challenges of onboard storage and develop the refueling network.
