FRANCE CYBER MARITIME
France Cyber Maritime is a non-profit association created in November 2020. Its mission is to increase the resilience of the maritime and port world in the face of cyber threats, and to contribute to the creation of a French industry of excellence in maritime cybersecurity.
With over 80 members, France Cyber Maritime’s three colleges include public players and coastal local authorities from mainland France and overseas, maritime and port operators, and cybersecurity solution providers.
It is supported by the Secrétariat Général de la Mer (SG Mer), the Agence Nationale de la Sécurité des Systèmes d’Information (ANSSI), France Relance, Brest Métropole and the Région Bretagne.
The particularities and complexity of the maritime and port sectors call for a sector-specific approach to cybersecurity. With the support of its members, France Cyber Maritime analyzes the needs of maritime and port operators and advises them to identify the most appropriate and effective solutions: audit, Bug Bounty, intrusion detection, training, incident response, R&D…
The association also aims to develop and promote French excellence in maritime cybersecurity, in particular through communication, animation and enhancement actions, both in France and internationally.
France Cyber Maritime also operates the M-CERT (Maritime Computer Emergency Response Team). This national center, based in Brest, is primarily responsible for monitoring and analyzing the threat, as well as distributing information bulletins to alert maritime and port operators.
