FEBUS Optics
FEBUS Optics is the world leader in DFOS, distributed fiber optic sensor systems (DAS, DTS, DSS), to reduce environmental impact, protect people and optimize production.
FEBUS supplies state-of-the-art equipment and turnkey solutions based on its patented technologies, developed by its R&D department. Drawing on its international presence, expertise, highly qualified team and testing center, FEBUS offers customized equipment and on-site services in:
– cable monitoring;
– pipeline monitoring;
– intrusion detection;
– seismic acquisition;
– natural hazard monitoring;
– structural health monitoring;
– geothermal, CO2 or oil & gas well monitoring.
FEBUS Optics creates instruments based on its distributed fiber optic sensing (DFOS) technologies. By collecting acoustic (DAS), temperature (DTS), and strain (DSS) data, its devices enable the monitoring of infrastructure integrity and help optimize production, reduce environmental impact, and protect the people. Developed by a highly qualified team with expertise in physics, optics, mechanics, electronics, and computer science, FEBUS solutions combine interrogators and proprietary software to generate real-time alerts and precisely locate incidents for sectors such as energy, defense, research, and civil engineering. On-site services worldwide—including assistance with fiber-optic deployment, data collection, pre-processing, and training—round out the offering.
The FEBUS A1 (DAS) performs acoustic measurements over tens of kilometers (up to 100 km and 130 km with the long-range option). Its state-of-the-art sensitivity allows it to detect all events. The FEBUS A1 is highly energy-efficient and allows users to configure up to three different gauge lengths and perform measurements simultaneously. Available in 1-, 2-, or 4-channel configurations, the system enables simultaneous and synchronized measurements on multiple fiber-optic cables: independent measurements on different fibers, or very long-range measurements by placing the device between two cables.
The FEBUS G1 (DSS & DTS) is a technology based on the Brillouin effect. The device performs strain and temperature measurements over tens of kilometers (up to 100 km and 130 km with the long-range option). Offering up to 16 measurement channels, it enables measurements in challenging environments. The FEBUS G1 is available in a rack-mountable version for installation in a cabinet, a portable version—better suited for one-time data acquisitions or on-the-go use—and a dynamic version for rapid measurements. Finally, the FEBUS G2 (DSS & DTS) enables independent strain and temperature measurements.
The T1-PLUTON is a DTS (Distributed Temperature Sensing) interrogator based on Raman technology. The device is used to measure temperature. Offering a high degree of flexibility, it is particularly well-suited for real-time data acquisition over medium ranges. Requiring only a single calibration at the start of the data acquisition campaign, the T1-PLUTON provides highly reliable data and exemplary measurement stability over time.
The T1-PLUTON is the ideal cost-effective solution for long-term, medium-range monitoring, measuring absolute temperature without sensitivity to strain or vibrations, having a complete solution that includes proprietary software, and benefiting from quick and easy installation and use.
