DEFENSE ENVIRONNEMENT SERVICES – DES
Défense Environnement Services (DES) is a joint venture between Naval Group and Veolia specializing in industrial facilities management and associated energy services.
DES provides service solutions dedicated to complex environments and infrastructures.
In support of naval defense MCO projects, we are involved in the implementation of temporary networks (water, electricity, ventilation), scaffolding, supply chain and installation monitoring.
In preventive and corrective maintenance, we work on all types of installations (doors, gates, lifting equipment, pumps, switchgear), as well as in production, distribution and maintenance of industrial utilities (water, steam, LP/HP air, heating and cooling systems).
INDUSTRIAL UTILITIES MANAGEMENT
Operation and maintenance of production facilities (steam, refrigeration, compressed air, vacuum, water cycle, temporary site networks)
ELECTRICITY
Optimization of energy consumption of buildings and machines

MECHANICAL AND AUTOMATIC SYSTEMS
Maintenance of tools and structures
‘DES’s multi-technical MCO services meet the customer’s maintenance challenges by grouping together different technical fields in a global contract. With a single point of contact for all maintenance workstations, and a high level of internalization to guarantee the availability of expertise, DES delivers services that meet the challenges of national defense.
DES solutions optimize intervention capacity through team specialization and synergies between technical fields. In addition, the information system and organization of resources comply with ANSSI cybersecurity requirements.
Benefits for customers include improved versatility of resources (to ensure business continuity), proactivity and design of maintenance plans, and improved communication between technicians and end customers.
Thanks to these services, our customers benefit from improved cost management and optimized maintenance processes.’
The Energy Performance Contract (EPC) is a range of services offered by DES, to support defense players in their energy strategy (source, capacity, management, savings actions, decarbonization). This offer comprises several phases, including an energy audit to identify orientations, a replacement and/or modernization plan for means of production (electricity, gas, fuel oil…), optimization of the distribution scheme, design of a structured metering plan and an intelligent energy management system based on Veolia’s know-how. The CPE also aims to enhance building performance through envelope work to reduce heat loss. DES draws on its repository of technical know-how and the experience of the Veolia Group to offer tailor-made solutions, adapted to regulatory constraints and environmental challenges. DES designs its solutions in line with requirements for independence and security of supply associated with sensitive installations.
