Défense Conseil International (DCI) is a key operator for the development of Defense and Security capabilities, towards France’s partners, European Union and NATO. We help our customers tackle their national, regional and international challenges, by providing excellence in education and training, first-class advisory services as well as high value operational and technical services, from maintenance to complex systems specification and acquisition.
DCI Naval component (DCI-NAVFCO) offers a wide range of solutions:
– academic training for officers and non-commissioned officers;
– specialty training;
– operational training;
– training in the use of naval equipment;
– crew training for the operation of a ship, submarine or naval aircraft;
– technical assistance and human support services;
– provision of maritime resources.
The DCI Group is offering an initial naval officer training course in collaboration with the Ecole navale and the Université de Bretagne Occidentale. Delivered in Brest over three years and in English, the aim of the course is to train young cadets to become naval officers in accordance with French standards, and to ensure that they are immaculate in their new role;they are immediately capable of serving on board a surface vessel as a deck or engine department manager, and as a bridge watch manager or watch engineer.
The DCI Group offers a wide range of operational training programs to support the capacity development of navies:
– naval combat (surface and submarine): anti-surface, anti-submarine, and anti-air warfare;
– government operations at sea;
– maritime and aeromaritime surveillance of approaches: crews of ships or aircraft, surveillance, coordination, or maritime command centers;
– protection of maritime approaches: inspection teams, maritime counterterrorism, military diving, mine countermeasures, explosive ordnance disposal (EOD);
– air and maritime search and rescue.

Défense Conseil International (DCI) is the operator of the Ministry for the Armed Forces for the transfer of know-how to France’s Partner countries. DCI offers its institutional and industrial partners tailored solutions for all capability development needs so they are able to meet regional and international security challenges.
DCI operates across the entire spectrum of national defense and security, offering customized consulting, training and assistance services, as well as the provision of operational resources.
The Centre International de Formation à la Plongée Militaire (CIF-PM) offers training on underwater drones (AUV, USV, ROV) enabling, in particular, the conduct of operational activities in underwater work, reconnaissance and mine clearance.
ATECHSYS, a DCI Group brand, specializes in intelligent, tailor made aerial drones solutions.
Capacité de formation dans le domaine des Systèmes Autonomes aériens et navals
DCI propose une large gamme de formations dans le domaine des drones militaires et de sécurité (aériens, sous-marins et de surface), en partenariat avec les armées :
- Formation drones tactiques (voilure fixe et tournante), y compris en environnement maritime ;
- Formation initiale des équipages de drones MALE, pour pilotes et opérateurs de charge utile ;
- « Séminaire stratégie drone », destiné aux responsables de projets ou décideurs souhaitant une connaissance approfondie des drones et de leur environnement, y compris naval ;
- Création de centres d’entraînement sur mesure adaptés aux besoins du client.
DCI uses advanced technologies such as the RAPAS™ simulator, dedicated to training drone teams (pilots, operators, analysts and TACCO), on site or at the client’s premises.
In addition, DCI also trains its clients in UUV and USV piloting, at its Saint-Mandrier-sur-Mer site or directly at the client’s premises, on their own system.

navOcean is a joint structure established between the DCI and PIRIOU groups to operate the Almak, a maritime training vessel, used primarily for academic and operational training delivered by DCI-NAVFCO. navOcean also has expertise in the fields of ship management and trial vessel operation.
Since its launching in 2013, “Almak” carried out more than 200 periods at sea (practical maritime training) and supported DCI operational activities (operational readiness of the Egyptian Navy destroyer “Tahya Misr”).
navOcéan provided a crew onboard austral vessel “Astrolabe” (sea trials, crew training, transit).

The naval branch of DCI Group, DCI/NAVFCO transfers know-how from the French Navy to foreign navies. DCI/NAVFCO is involved in naval programs, equipment sales and the provision of operational or collective training.
Since 1980, DCI/NAVFCO has trained more than 13,000 foreign trainees (officers, naval engineers, naval officers, sailors) from some thirty countries, particularly in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
