COMEX
With 60 years’ experience in the field of controlled pressure, COMEX deploys its expertise in the design and manufacture of hyperbaric oxygen therapy centers and emergency recompression chambers, as well as controlled-pressure industrial machines. <Our Hyper and Hypobaric test center, with a variety of test facilities and test basins unique in Europe, together with our Training Center, offer a wide range of services to our customers.
Our expertise is applied in many sectors: Maritime, Defense, Medical, Scientific Research, Aerospace, Energy, Construction.
COMEX develops, manufactures and modernizes:
– hospital hyperbaric assemblies (multi-chamber, cylindrical or cubic);
– mobile hyperbaric chambers;
– very high or very low pressure test machines for industrial applications (stand-alone test bench or integrated into the production line).
We provide a range of maintenance services:
– preventive and corrective maintenance;
– operational support;
– regulatory upgrades, inspections and requalifications.
Our Test Center, equipped with automated chambers for the use of gaseous or liquid mixtures, offers testing services:
– hyperbaric testing (internal and external pressure);
– hypobaric testing;
– tank testing.
Our Training Center, equipped with an altitude simulator and several tanks, offers two types of training related to workplace safety.
The COMEX range includes:
– diameters from 1m to 1m80;
– automatic, semi-automatic or manual control panels;
– and various finishes (steel, stainless steel, aluminum).
These mobile hyperbaric chambers comprise:
– a treatment chamber accommodating up to 4 seated patients or 2 lying patients;
– an airlock.
They are equipped with an air production unit and a therapeutic fluid distribution system.
The European directive-compliant equipment features the latest COMEX technologies in terms of control and design, including automatic controlled sessions, multi-mode user assistance, LED lighting and an innovative communication system.
The French Navy, which has entrusted COMEX with the operational maintenance of its entire fleet of tanks for over 10 years, has also entrusted us with the production of a series of latest-generation tanks for its new diving support equipment program.

COMEX, as an expert in hyperbaric installations, provides a range of services to ensure the operational readiness of hyperbaric chambers integrated into vessels or attached to naval bases. COMEX is responsible for studies and implementation of technological upgrades, maintenance engineering, and the coordination and execution of work carried out during chamber maintenance periods, including periodic inspections and regulatory requalifications.
An important player in the defense sector, COMEX generates nearly half of its revenue in this field through the design and manufacture of hyperbaric chambers and the maintenance of these facilities. The major part of its products and services are sold in Europe.
COMEX has a hyperbaric and hypobaric testing center, manufacturing and repair workshops, and a dedicated maintenance team. COMEX technicians travel throughout Europe to maintain the facilities or train the Client’s personnel.
For many years, the DSSF has entrusted COMEX with the MRO of all the hyperbaric chambers of the French Navy and Army. The contract includes a fleet of more than 30 chambers distributed between various bases, installed on vessels or on land, with operating pressure ranges from 3,5 to 500 bar.
