CMV Amphibie is a design, construction and maintenance yard for amphibious vessels.
The company, founded in 1978, has know-how recognized by professionals in the aquaculture sector and employs 8 people. Its customers, fish farmers on the north Brittany coast, use amphibious barges to work in their concessions. Other customers call on CMV Amphibie’s skills, including local authorities, transport companies and offshore services. CMV Amphibie is diversifying its activities in the field of workboats, and is actively participating in the effort to decarbonize ships. It intends to make this a major focus of its future development.
Since 2016, CMV Amphibie has been expanding its activities via its subsidiary CBN based in the Port of Saint Malo.
CMV Amphibie is an expert in amphibious boat building:
– design of plans,
– search for suitable mechanical solutions,
– hydraulics,
– motorization,
– electricity,
– control and command.
CMV Amphibie has equipment and qualified personnel for the maintenance of all the boats it has built:
– in the field of boiler making,

– in hydraulics,

– mechanical transmission,

– in the field of low-voltage electricity.
Since 2022, CMV Amphibie, in collaboration with the “ESTEBAM” consortium, has been actively involved in researching and implementing ways to decarbonize ships:
– installation and commissioning in July 2024 of France’s 1st workboat demonstrator powered by a 100% hydrogen combustion engine.
