ALSEAMAR concentrates the naval and submarine activities of the ALCEN Group, dedicated to the defense, security, offshore industry and oceanography markets. The teams are committed to guaranteeing the reliability and performance of equipment and services, ensuring that each mission is carried out with optimum efficiency.
It is organised into five divisions: robotics and acoustics, radiocommunications, buoyancy solutions, operational maintenance and scientific research, operating from three main sites in Six-Fours (83) and Rousset (13).
ALSEAMAR, a subsidiary of the ALCEN group, is a French company specializing in the design, production and maintenance of naval and submarine systems. Based in the South of France, ALSEAMAR is behind the development of the SEAEXPLORER submarine glider and its payloads. ALSEAMAR operates in the three main maritime markets: naval defense, oceanography and the offshore industry. The company offers its customers a complete range of services, from the sale of gliders to the provision of turnkey services including at-sea data collection and processing. ALSEAMAR has sales of €50 million, 50% of which are exported.

ALSEAMAR is an SME 100% owned by the ALCEN family-owned industrial group. ALSEAMAR has a design office and several factories, enabling it to control the entire industrial process, from R&D through to the marketing of high-performance products.
Since 2024, more than a hundred SEAEXPLORER gliders have been produced and put into service. They have been acquired by universities and oceanographic institutes in Greece, the USA, Israel and Japan, by a government department in Canada and by the Chilean Navy.
