AERIX SYSTEMS
Aerix Systems is an innovative young company developing ultra-fast, hyper-maneuverable drone platforms, ready for integration. Unique in the world, they are based on patented omnidirectional propulsion technology. Pushing back the limits of what is possible, these platform systems offer numerous new capabilities for multi-domain applications. The potential for this technology to be applied in the maritime and space sectors offers significant development prospects. With its 17-strong team, the Mérignac-based company, which specializes in robotics and propulsion, is positioning itself as a first-rate equipment supplier in the fast-growing drone sector.

Omnidirectionality consists in combining 360° roll, pitch and yaw movements in total independence. Omnidirectional drones have the ability to maintain their position and inclination while moving in space, and the ability to orient their body in any direction (even upside down) and at any angle, without moving their center of gravity.
Based on this proprietary technology, Aerix Systems designs, manufactures and markets a range of products and services for the aerospace industry.
Based on this proprietary technology, Aerix Systems designs, produces and markets a range of omnidirectional thrusters and platforms for the aerial and underwater drone industry, either directly or under license. A first-rate equipment manufacturer, the company focuses its know-how on the manufacture of thrusters and their critical components, as well as on the development of the software control bricks (guidance, navigation, control, real-time on-board supervision) required for the smooth operation of its platforms.
.
Aerix Systems is therefore positioned as an equipment and systems supplier upstream of integrators and drone manufacturers. This enables Aerix Systems to extract itself in part from the competition in the drone market by turning its competitors into competitors who will have every interest in sourcing propulsion and/or omnidirectional platforms with its control software to meet their customers’ use cases. As the propulsion technology and its associated control laws can be adapted in size and number to any type of aircraft, it’s sale is aimed at platform manufacturers or dronists. Thrusters can be sold directly or under license, notably as part of international collaborations. Omnidirectional propulsion will be available in several models, each designed for a specific model of agnostic platform.
.
As for the platform, it is aimed at all market integrators, including a number of major groups such as Thalès and Airbus, as well as dronists. This sales approach is both an interesting strategy, as some integrators don’t want to see their innovations absorbed by a new product, and the fact that the integrators already have the target markets. It’s the approach that allows for the most collaboration, and the least risky market accessibility.
