Exail has announced the launch of production of the sixth steering console for the JangBogo III program of the Republic of Korea Navy. This new milestone marks more than ten years of cooperation with South Korea and reflects the continued trust placed in the group’s technological and industrial expertise.
Since 2014, Exail has designed, manufactured, and delivered five complete consoles as part of the program. Construction of the sixth system will begin in 2026, with commissioning scheduled for 2027. These steering consoles are built around Opsys, Exail’s integrated computer, which forms the core of the system and ensures precise, reliable, and scalable control. Each unit requires nearly two years of work across Exail’s electronics, software, mechanical, and integration teams, and is accompanied by full support up to onboard commissioning, enabling long-term knowledge transfer to partners.
Exail also reports that the fourth steering station in the program was successfully commissioned in July 2025, confirming the robustness and reliability of the solution.
With 15 steering stations currently in service worldwide, Exail strengthens its position as a trusted partner for international navies, capable of designing modular and scalable systems that meet long-term operational requirements.
