Exail announces two new orders for its DriX H-9 surface drone

On 7 January 2026, Exail announced the signing of two contracts for its DriX H-9 surface drone, reflecting the growing adoption of its autonomous solutions for defence and maritime security applications.

The first order, placed by the innovation branch of a leading navy, represents a strategic step forward: the DriX H-9 will be equipped with CUAS (Counter-Unmanned Aerial System) capabilities, integrating sensors and technologies supplied by a third party, designed for the detection and neutralisation of aerial drones from the sea. This configuration enables counter-drone defence to be deployed beyond coastal areas and provides mobile protection for missions such as escorting sensitive vessels, securing port access points, or protecting critical infrastructure.

The second order was placed by SHOM (the French Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service of the Navy), which is acquiring a DriX drone for the second time. This new DriX H-9 will help accelerate hydrographic data acquisition cycles, extend survey coverage, and ensure the timely availability of reliable information essential for navigation safety and maritime space management.

As the third DriX H-9 ordered in just a few months by different customers, this confirms the technological maturity and operational relevance of Exail’s autonomous surface drone platform.
