Naval Group signs a contract with Van Halteren Technologies for the Orka class

During the NEDS exhibition, Van Halteren Technologies — a Dutch family-owned company with extensive experience in naval systems — signed a contract with Naval Group for the supply of key systems for the new Orka-class submarines, developed under the RNSC (Replacement of the Netherlands Submarine Capability) programme.

The company will supply several critical pieces of equipment, all designed and manufactured in-house:
• hydraulic power units (HPUs),
• food refrigeration and freezing systems,
• windlasses and capstans.

These systems must meet particularly demanding requirements: compactness, low weight, shock resistance and reliability in the submarine environment.

With this contract, Van Halteren Technologies joins Team Orka, the network of Dutch companies working alongside Naval Group. This cooperation forms part of the Industrial Cooperation Agreement (ICA) signed with the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, aimed at strengthening the skills of the Dutch naval industry and supporting the construction of this new class of submarines.
