Arkeocean joins forces with Marine Instruments for underwater surveillance

On May 14, 2025, GICAN member Arkeocean signed a strategic partnership agreement with Marine Instruments at the FEINDEF show in Madrid. The aim of this collaboration is to develop innovative solutions for the safety of critical underwater infrastructures.

The alliance combines Arkeocean’s Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) swarms with Marine Instruments’ satellite-based acoustic sensors, creating an integrated system for persistent underwater surveillance.

This Franco-Spanish partnership will cover several strategic sectors, including anti-submarine defense, critical infrastructure protection and aquaculture control.

The two companies also plan to collaborate on joint projects and validate their solutions in real operational environments.

This Memorandum of Understanding reflects our shared commitment to enhancing underwater defense capabilities through innovative solutions that improve maritime situational awareness and operational readiness in complex environments,” said Thierry Brizard, Chairman of Arkeocean.
