EURONAVAL 2026: SEA.AI appoints former submariner Olivier Jacques as Sales Manager France

Ahead of EURONAVAL 2026, maritime machine vision specialist SEA.AI announced the appointment of Olivier Jacques as Sales Manager for its French entity. The appointment comes in response to rising demand from naval forces and maritime security operators for passive visual perception systems onboard crewed and uncrewed platforms.

A former French Navy submarine officer, Olivier Jacques brings 27 years of military service, including 20 years within the submarine forces. During the latter part of his career, he worked on defense innovation initiatives in coordination with the French Defense Procurement Agency (DGA), bridging operational requirements with technology acquisition programs.

SEA.AI’s technology combines electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) sensors with edge computing and AI-driven machine vision algorithms. By processing image data onboard in real time, the systems detect and classify targets that radar and AIS may miss, such as low-signature hazards, small unlit craft, and floating obstacles.

This added perception layer supports ISR missions and enhances Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) for both conventional warships and autonomous systems. Over 1,300 SEA.AI systems are currently deployed across commercial, defense, and recreational vessels globally.

SEA.AI will demonstrate its maritime machine vision systems at EURONAVAL 2026 from November 3 to 6 in Paris (Stand 6E72).
