Governance: Catherine Ronge appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of GTT
The Board of Directors of GTT, meeting on October 23, 2026, has appointed Catherine Ronge as Chairman of the Board of Directors, effective November 16, 2026. She succeeds Philippe Berterottière, who has decided to step down from the Board after leading the LNG containment technology specialist for seventeen years.
This appointment aligns with the Board’s established succession plan and marks the completion of the transition process initiated in January 2026 when François Michel joined the Group as Chief Executive Officer. An independent director at GTT since 2021, Catherine Ronge has served as Chairman of the Appointments and Remuneration Committee since 2023 and is a member of the Strategy & CSR Committee.
An alumna of the École Normale Supérieure de Paris-Saclay with a PhD in quantum physics, Catherine Ronge brings extensive executive and industrial experience. Following early research work at the CEA, she held senior management, R&D, and strategic roles at Air Liquide and Suez, later founding the strategy consultancy Weave Air and serving as CEO of Le Garrec & Cie until June 2026.
During Philippe Berterottière’s seventeen-year tenure, GTT transformed into a global technology leader in membrane containment systems for LNG shipping and storage, while recently restructuring its activities around two operational pillars, Energy and Maritime. Catherine Ronge’s appointment aims to support the continued execution of GTT’s strategic roadmap focused on technological innovation, maritime decarbonization, and long-term value creation.
Following these changes, GTT’s Board of Directors comprises eight members, with 88% independent directors and 50% female representation. Sandra Lagumina succeeds Catherine Ronge as Chairman of the Appointments and Remuneration Committee, joined by Luc Gillet as a new committee member.
