Maritime Security: SEA.AI and Oneberry partner to deploy AI machine vision across Southeast Asia
German maritime machine vision pioneer SEA.AI and Singapore-based security integrator Oneberry Technologies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enhance maritime domain awareness (MDA) and security across Southeast Asia. The strategic collaboration combines SEA.AI’s artificial intelligence sensing with Oneberry’s regional surveillance expertise.
The joint initiative focuses on integrating SEA.AI’s electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) camera systems into Oneberry’s security platforms. By leveraging edge AI processing, SEA.AI systems detect, classify, and track marine targets in real time, day and night. This capability addresses operational gaps left by conventional radar and AIS systems, specifically for identifying unlit craft, small vessels, and persons in the water.
A key technical highlight of the agreement centers on remote, off-grid maritime surveillance. By combining AI-powered EO/IR sensors with SFC EFOY Pro fuel cell technology, the partners can deploy fully autonomous surveillance stations along isolated coastlines and critical maritime infrastructure without access to standard electrical grids.
The partnership leverages Oneberry’s “5 Dot Zero” innovation hub in Singapore, designed to integrate international technology providers with local operational capabilities and government sector experience. It builds upon a successful Proof of Concept (POC) completed by both companies earlier this year, setting the stage for commercial expansion in Southeast Asia.
Together, SEA.AI and Oneberry aim to deliver integrated situational awareness solutions tailored to government, naval, and commercial maritime operations throughout the region.
