EURONAVAL 2026: Eviden launches ASTRA-LAS, an AI-powered tactical decision-support system for naval operations

How can naval officers process massive amounts of incoming sensor data to make split-second combat decisions? Addressing information overload in modern naval warfare, Eviden (Atos Group’s product business line) has unveiled ASTRA-LAS, a tactical decision-support system engineered for above-surface warfare operators.

Modern naval combat relies on an influx of real-time data from radar systems, satellites, and autonomous sensors. Filtering this information quickly is vital to maintaining operational superiority. ASTRA-LAS simplifies complex combat environments by turning raw operational data into an enriched, real-time visual representation of the tactical grid. Powered by automated analytics, the platform generates tailored operational recommendations, significantly reducing cognitive load for operators and speeding up command decision loops.

Derived from the Atos Codex real-time decision platform, ASTRA-LAS features a flexible architecture designed to adapt to naval data hubs. It allows forces to deploy seamless software updates directly while at sea, integrating tactical upgrades based on mission feedback.

To build ASTRA-LAS, Eviden leveraged a specialized defense tech ecosystem. The platform integrates digital order-of-battle intelligence from open sources (OSINT) provided by Racine Group, alongside AI-driven trajectory optimization algorithms developed by French startup HawAI.tech.

Eviden will showcase the ASTRA-LAS tactical decision support platform at EURONAVAL 2026 in Paris from November 3 to 6.
