Exail selected to equip Indonesian Navy with next-generation unmanned mine countermeasures system

Exail has been selected to supply the Indonesian Navy with multiple Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs) and Mine Identification and Disposal Systems (MIDS), enabling a complete unmanned mine countermeasures capability.

The contract covers the delivery of four Exail Inspector 90 USVs, along with Seascan and K-Ster mine identification and disposal systems. These advanced systems will be deployed from two new, next-generation motherships (KRI Pulau Fani and KRI Pulau Fanildo).

Integrated architecture:

  • All systems will be remotely operated from the mothership
  • Coordination through Exail's unified Command and Control center
  • Umisoft software installed in the ship's combat room
  • Mission planning, real-time supervision and post-mission analysis

This modular UMIS (Unmanned Mine countermeasures Integrated System) solution illustrates Exail's ability to adapt to the specific operational needs of each navy. Its flexibility enables the delivery of scalable, high-performance unmanned systems, configurable for a wide range of mine warfare missions.

Led by more than 2,000 employees worldwide and present in over 80 countries, Exail was formed by the merger of ECA Group and iXblue in 2022. The company positions itself as a key player in shaping the future of naval mine countermeasures.
