On February 10, 2026, Chantiers de l’Atlantique, alongside RWE Offshore Wind and Norges Bank Investment Management, commemorated the completion of the design, manufacturing, and integration phases of two offshore electrical substations. These units were developed by their teams for the Nordseecluster 1 and 2 offshore wind projects.
Developed by RWE and Norges Bank Investment Management, the two substations are scheduled to leave Saint-Nazaire in March 2026. They will be installed approximately 50km off the coast of the German island of Juist.
On the same day, Chantiers de l’Atlantique inaugurated the Anemos painting extension. Following 14 months of construction, this painting bay—the only one of its kind in Europe—is a key component of the investment plan announced in May 2024. The expansion aims to double the company’s production capacity for electrical substations to meet growing market demand.
